Every figure here was checked in September 2026 and none of them are promises. Platforms change tier tables, token values and payment minimums without announcement, and several rates vary by country, by traffic source and by individual contract. Treat this as the shape of the market and verify the specific number in your own account before you plan around it.
Almost every "best paying cam site" list compares one number: the revenue split. It is the least useful number available. A 60% split on a token worth half as much is worse than a 50% split, a headline rate you can only reach in the top tier is not your rate, and a platform that pays 5% more but holds your money for three weeks longer is not obviously paying you more.
There are four numbers that decide what lands in your account, and they are rarely presented together.
On this page
The four numbers that matter
- What the viewer pays per token. Roughly $0.08 to $0.11 on the token-based sites, depending on bundle size. Larger bundles are cheaper per token, so a big spender's tokens are worth less to the platform than a casual buyer's.
- What the token is worth to you. On most token sites this is $0.05. That gap between what the viewer paid and what you receive is the platform's actual take, and it is bigger than the advertised split implies.
- Whether your split is flat or tiered. A flat rate is your rate. A tiered rate is a rate you might reach, and the advertised number is almost always the top of the ladder.
- When and how you can actually get the money. Payment frequency, the holding period, the minimum for your payment method, and whether that method works where you live.
The comparison table
All figures checked September 2026. Where a range is shown, it is a tier ladder rather than a negotiation — assume the bottom of the range until you know otherwise.
| Platform | To the model | Per token / credit | Paid | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | ~50% | $0.05 | Twice monthly; daily for verified broadcasters | $50 |
| Stripchat | 50–60% | ~$0.05 | Twice monthly | $50 |
| MyFreeCams | ~50% | $0.05 | 1st and 16th | $50 |
| CamSoda | ~50% | $0.05 | Twice monthly | $50 |
| BongaCams | 25–60% tiered | ~$0.025 | Twice monthly | $50 |
| LiveJasmin | 30–80% tiered | $0.01–0.04 | Twice monthly | $100 |
| Streamate | Per-minute rate | n/a | Bi-weekly; weekly for top earners | $50 |
| SkyPrivate | 75–86% | Per-minute | On request | Low |
Why the headline percentage misleads
The token is worth what the platform says it is worth
A percentage means nothing without the unit it applies to. BongaCams pays roughly $0.025 per token where Chaturbate pays $0.05 — so a 60% BongaCams rate and a 50% Chaturbate rate are not comparable at all, because the tokens are different sizes. Always convert to money before you compare anything.
Tiers are a ladder, and you start at the bottom
LiveJasmin's 30–80% and BongaCams' 25–60% are both real, and both quoted publicly at the top. New models sit at the bottom. Before choosing a platform on its tier ceiling, find the actual table, find the volume threshold for each rung, and be honest about which rung you will be on in month three.
Some earnings are split differently from others
The rate on public tips is often not the rate on private shows, spy shows, recorded content sales, fan-club subscriptions or app purchases. Several platforms pay noticeably better on privates than on tips, which quietly makes them a different business to work on than the headline suggests.
Promotional rates expire
New-model bonuses, first-month boosts and "welcome" percentages are real money and a bad basis for a decision. Work out what the platform pays in month four, because that is the rate you will spend most of your time on.
Payment terms — the part nobody compares
This is where platforms differ most and where comparisons almost never look, largely because it is boring right up until rent is due.
- The holding period. Twice-monthly payment does not mean paid two weeks in arrears. A period that closes on the 15th and pays on the 22nd means the money you earned on the 1st waits three weeks. Chaturbate's daily payout option for verified broadcasters is genuinely unusual and worth having.
- The minimum is per method, not per platform. Stripchat's $50 Paxum minimum becomes $100 for Ethereum and USD Coin, and international wire transfers can require $500. A $50 headline minimum is meaningless if the only method available to you carries a $500 floor.
- Whether the method works where you live. Paxum, Cosmo, Yoursafe, wire and crypto all have country restrictions, and the useful ones for adult work are a short list that changes. Check this before your first stream, not before your first payout.
- What it costs to receive. Wire fees, crypto network fees and currency conversion all come off the top. On a $200 payout a $25 wire fee is a bigger deduction than the difference between a 50% and a 55% split.
- What happens to a balance below the minimum. On most platforms it rolls over, which is fine. Check that it does, and check what happens to it if you stop streaming.
Freemium and premium pay differently
The split matters less than which of two quite different jobs you are signing up for.
Freemium — Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, MyFreeCams, CamSoda — means broadcasting publicly and earning through tips, with private shows on top. It rewards stamina and room-building: long sessions, a regular schedule, and an audience that accumulates. Income is lumpy, and the ceiling is high.
Premium and pay-per-minute — LiveJasmin, Streamate, SkyPrivate — means viewers pay by the minute for private time. It rewards conversion rather than endurance: fewer viewers, more of them paying, shorter sessions. Income is steadier and the ceiling is usually lower.
A model who converts well and hates long public sessions can genuinely earn more on a lower percentage. This is the single most common mistake in platform choice, and no payout table will catch it for you.
What actually decides your income
Having said all of that: across every platform, the variable that predicts earnings is not the split. It is showing up at predictable times, for enough hours, for long enough that an audience forms. The difference between a 50% and a 60% platform is ten per cent. The difference between streaming on a schedule and streaming when you feel like it is considerably more than ten per cent.
Pick a platform whose payment terms you can actually live with, then stop optimising the choice and start optimising the hours.
